A road sweeping around a curve.

Who The Hell?

My lovely faceHello, my name is Tom and I enjoy soup. I study philosophy in Edinburgh though I lead quite a dull life and live vicariously through others. I'd like to live in a lighthouse, but they're all automated these days. I used to have a world record for dancing the Macarena and my interests include British Neo-Romanticism, bookbinding, Beethoven and street furniture. I like swans but not Jacqueline Wilson. I take photographs at irregular opportunities, and you are welcome to look. I can speak Swedish and have some rusty Spanish hidden away there too, not that it does me much good.

Gibberish

At every possible opportunity, I will rabbit on with nonsense on whatever subject I feel like. From time to time, what I've got to say might end up here too, and you are welcome to read what I've written, though most people would just tell me to shut up. This week, I have been mostly thinking about mead.

Cheese

I'm interested in the geographical distribution of cheese preferences and will prattle incessently on the topic at the drop of a hat. Perhaps you'd be kind enough to participate in a quick dairy products survey. The idea I'm testing in a statistically unsound way is simple: people up north like hard cheese and people down south like it soft. Is it true? And what about other countries?

Snack Pimping

What could be better than a chocolate bar? How about an enormous one! Twice now, the mood has taken me and I have constructed abominations unto the lord of confectionary: a giant Crunchie bar and an attempted Snickers thing that came out wrong in a sugary way.

Nerdfoolery

In the unlikeliness your mind is boggled enough to enjoy these, have some nerdfoolery: horological schemes to improve mankind and a port of the robotfindskitten game. What's more, you're welcome to play Tetris, and I've also had a go at making a computerised version of Scrabble, though it's still a little shoddy. You're also welcome to try Tablut, a Viking board game with a working two-player mode. What's more, I've made an online crossword solver, if that floats your boat.
