Utopian Clocks

Throughout history, many people have been profoundly dissatisfied with Babylonian horological scheme, with its unwieldy units of fives, twelves and sixties. Here are several working alternative clocks for your enjoyment and pleasure.

robotfindskitten

robotfindskitten is the world's premier zen simulation. I wrote a version of the game in javascript so as to be playable online whenever you want.

Tetris

You can only spend so many hours in the day in the university library revising before you have to reinvent the wheel, as this game of Tetris will attest. It's fully-functional and is quite playable with keyboard controls: it's got everything except the music.

Scrabble

I also crafted an online version of the popular board game Scrabble in javascript, with both single- and two-player versions. The one-player version is, to the best of my knowledge, fully-functional, although there are problems with the two-player version; that said, it's probably about as complete as it'll ever get.

Viking Board Games

Hnefatafl games involve one team trying to smuggle their king past a larger attacking force and there is evidence that they were popular across northern Europe during the Viking period. No clear set of rules for any version have survived to the modern day but more evidence survives for Tablut, a version played on a 9x9 grid, than any other. Here the game is recreated for your recreation, together with an explanation of the rules and brief note on its history.

Crossword Solver

Recently, I have found it quite frustrating when I just can't finish a crossword and so invented an online crossword solver. I had made do with someone else's page, but found the interface clunky and the service limited. So, I made my own in a fit of pointlessness.
